A Rebuilt Engine Will Rebuild Your Vehicle

by Daniel Klee

Smoke rising from any engine can cause a frantic panic. When the motors fried beyond repair, you find yourself at a crossroads wondering what to do next. Is it time to buy a new car? Should you throw this car away?

That depends on the car's condition. If the car is better than a run down beater, however, it's probably best to keep the car. You'd have a hard time finding a good used car that you could rely on for under $1,000. Buy a beater will only leave you stranded.

Yet you can easily find a rebuilt engine for less than $1,000, maybe even $700 or less. That's still a chunk of change, but it's cheaper than buying a new car. If you've been happy with your car, it's probably worth fixing.

It doesn't have to be the death of your car. Since the web has gained momentum, a cheap rebuilt engine can be found that is very reliable. In fact, most sites will guarantee their engines, providing a documented history of their use so you know what they've been through.

Always speak to a sales representative. Just because it's the web doesn't mean you shouldn't have a conversation. Talk to them about their knowledge of the industry. Experienced shops will understand the rebuilt motor industry inside and out.

Engines can be complicated. Models differ as well as years. One car might require a V8 engine, another a V6. Some motors have turbo. Other cars have diesel motors. Always make sure you are getting the motor you need when you need it.

Get a price quote. Don't let them play any games. The Internet favors the buyer, so always price compare to get the lowest price possible. You'll be surprised at the deals that are out there.

Shop and compare. Scrutinize the prices on a variety of sites. You just might save yourself a considerable chunk of change.
